NEWS Leaked specification sheets from Palm have revealed the PDA maker is planning to release a low-cost device called the m125 on 24 August. The news has been reported on a number of user websites who claim to have seen detailed plans for the new device and according to US newswires one major retailer has already included the item on its product database ahead of the launch. The m125 is expected to sell for around $250 when it is launched in the US and it is reportedly planned to replace the existing m100 and m105 models while still offering a cheaper alternative to the models in the all singing, all dancing m500 range. It will weigh 6.1oz and contain a 33Mhz processor and 8Mb of RAM. The PDA rumour mill also reports that Handspring is readying a new range of cheaper handhelds.
