NEWS The Finnish mobile giant Nokia has bought Samsung's ultra-fast chip technology. Nokia is the first customer to buy the 8MB DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) chip. The chips don't require as high voltage as a conventional chip and this allows the data to be processed faster. The chip is suitable for 3G mobile handsets, which will have to process large volumes of data on and offline. Both companies declined to comment on the value of the deal.
