NEWS People who insist on frequently updating and personalising their mobile phone ring tones are facing the prospect of being sent into space. Mobile phone portal Sonera Zed is entering UK users into a competition to win a space flight each time they buy a ring tone or logo for their mobile phone. The closing stages of the competition, which will run throughout September, will ask 100 randomly selected entrants to submit a text message stating why they want to travel into space. The winner will be announced in November. The prize will see the overall winner undergo intensive astronaut training before the trip takes them at four times the speed of sound to an altitude of over 62 miles where they will experience five minutes of weightlessness.
