Bluetooth is rotten says Intel boss

Pass the drill nurse...

NEWS Wireless network technology Bluetooth has failed before it ever had a chance to establish itself according to Sean Maloney, vice president and general manager at Intel Communcations Group. The technology, which networks mobile phones, laptops and other wireless devices and provides remote internet connectivity, will lose its battle with the far less catchily named 802.11 according to Maloney. While other industry figures have previously written off Bluetooth's chances, Intel's words will resonate particularly strongly as the chip giant is a leading member of the trade group that, until now, has been trying to promote Bluetooth. Maloney was speaking at the Intel Developer Forum.
