NEWS United Airlines has launched an SMS text messaging service for travellers who have lost their luggage. Passengers will give their mobile phone number out when checking their luggage in at departure and will then be notified by a text message should their luggage go missing in transit. Passengers will continue to receive regular updates on the progress of their lost luggage until it is delivered back to them.
