UK's Blackberry ripe for the picking

NEWS BT Cellnet has announced Research In Motion's Blackberry wireless email device is available over its GPRS network. The two companies announced their partnership in June, when BT began taking orders. Today it became available for those companies that had ordered the wireless device. A BT spokesman said the advantage of Blackberry is that "it hooks up to your network, allowing users to be permanently connected to their emails while out of the office". He added that Blackberry is only available to corporations, and while there is no minimum number that has to be ordered, "it is in companies' best interest to buy at least 15 to subsidise the accompanying software." Research In Motion launched the device in the US in 1999, where it has proved very popular as an advanced paging service.
