Xdrive and Hush jump on web storage bandwagon

Email not good enough for "crucial" documents...

By Mark Graham, 18 September 2001 15:20

NEWS Xdrive Technologies and Hush Communications have teamed up to unveil HushDrive, a secure web-based storage solution, in an effort to grab their slice of the emerging internet information management market. The solution uses PKI-based encryption technology to let users locate, save, share and respond to internet information, whether it is on a PC, mobile phone or PDA. David Longley, senior VP of EMEA, Xdrive Technologies, said email is no longer a viable option when companies are collaborating on "crucial business documents such as contracts". He added that mobile internet access is "exploding globally" and he believes HushDrive will interest users and help the two companies gain a slice of the pie.
