NEWS The UK public's passion for sending each other text messages has reached such heights that for the first time ever, one billion messages have been sent in a single month. According to the Mobile Data Association, 1.05 billion messages were sent by UK users in August, averaging 35 million messages a day. The association believes that SMS traffic will rise to 20 billion text messages per month by the end of the year.
