NEWS Vodafone has confirmed rumours that job cuts are hovering on the horizon. 600 positions - 6.5 per cent of Vodafone's UK workforce - are to go, according to a report on the Ananova website. Yesterday the Guardian newspaper wrote that up to 1,000 of the company's 57,000 workforce could go as the company consolidates some of its recent spree of acquisitions. The company said the cuts were likely to be middle management positions. Vodafone is not able to reply to our calls at this time. More on this story soon.
