NEWS Jorma Ollila, who celebrates his tenth anniversary as CEO of Nokia in January, has delighted shareholders by agreeing to head the mobile maker for another five years. The Finnish Group made the announcement yesterday. It was important to demonstrate stability in these volatile times for the telecommunications industry, analysts agreed. Ollila has been with Nokia since 1985, becoming a board member ten years later. He was appointed CEO in 1992 and two years ago took on the joint role of chairman and chief executive. He will be 56 when his contract expires in 2006.
