NEWS IBM has created several new services as part of its Project eLiza - the programme for developing self-managing systems. The project is costing billions of dollars with the aim of creating systems that will make the management of IT infrastructure less complex. The new services, announced today will automate ebusiness processes that identify and intercept problems. Additionally it will be introducing new technologies for IT infrastructure security and management. IBM is also establishing a partner programme for customers and other vendors, such as Nortel Networks and Candle to develop a roadmap for the future development of self-managing technologies. Project eLiza was launched six months ago. The name relates to the aim of the project, which is to create a computer that is as clever as a lizard.
