mm02 shares boosted by tough talk

'We really like it when you're masterful...'

NEWS BT's mobile spin-off mm02, which floated on Monday, has been voted best performer on the FTSE 100 when its shares rose from 6 pence to 91 pence. The recommendations were boosted by the company's hard line attitude towards under performing areas within the company. In a series of presentations the company told investors it is prepared to jettison any unprofitable areas as soon as possible. The company stated that if its troubled Dutch and German operations, Telfort Mobiel and Viag Interkom, do not come up to scratch within the next 12 months they will be sold. Deutsche Bank raised its share value estimates of mm02 from 81 pence to 95 pence.
