Fujitsu sues Samsung

Phone component patents the sticking point...

NEWS Fujitsu Media Devices is suing Samsung Electro-Mechanics in the US, alleging its rival has infringed mobile phone component patents. The Fujitsu unit is seeking damages and an injunction against Samsung importing and selling the parts in question. Such a stand-off between divisions of these giants, headquartered in Japan and Korea respectively, is unusual, although manufacturers from the Far East have often been on the receiving end of lawsuits from companies based in the US or Europe.
