Electronics giant dumps Net plans

Portal just doesn't cut the mustard so we'll stick to low-cost tellies...

NEWS Alba - which owns the Bush brand - has dumped its future portal plans at a cost of £17.9m after admitting it overestimated market potential. Bush Internet will be incorporated into ITV Digital's portal, although the firm will continue to act as an ISP to its existing 170,000 customers. The company will now refocus on its core consumer electronics business, according to the Financial Times
