NEWS Virgin Mobile has started the new year with a bang after attracting over 250,000 new customers over the Christmas holiday. The mobile company now has 770,549 customers. The company's sales figures are also on the up, with 32 per cent growth year-on-year and is expected to hit profitability early this year. Analysts predicted that the UK's fifth network will more than triple its market share in Q4 2001 from five per cent in Q4 2000.
