Big Brother creator eyes 3G future

Mobile phones and the internet draw company away from the goggle-box...

NEWS Television production company Endemol Entertainment plans to transform half of its business to provide content for 3G phones and the internet within three years. Endemol, the company behind Big Brother, is a unit of Spanish telecoms company Telefonica, which claims, along with Vodafone, it is the only company with the clout to provide converged content. Telefonica has been in talks with Bertlesmann-controlled RTL Group about a possible joint venture. However, Endemol has denied there have been discussions regarding its sale.
