Intel powers up notebooks

Faster Celerons and Pentiums for little laptops...

NEWS Intel is to release a line of processors for slim-line laptop computers that break the 1GHz barrier. The company plans to offer a Celeron chip running at 1.06GHz and two Pentium III-m processors running at 750MHz and 866MHz for mini-notebook PCs. The Celeron chip has been manufactured using Intel's 130-nanometer (0.13 micron) process as oppose d to the older 180-nanometer process, US wires report.
