NEWS silicon.com readers are fuming about Genie's claims that its WAP email site is now working following some serious downtime - despite strong evidence that it isn't. We were unable to access the site with a WAP phone all day and comments emailed to silicon.com by Genie users continued to report the same problem. The company's press office was unable to return our requests for comment. Genie - formerly BT's wireless division - has admitted that its POP3 email and web mail businesses have not been accessible since 15 January and hopes to have the service working by 24 January.
