Nokia's Chinese sales top £2bn

If 145 million mobile phones all rang at once you could hear it on the moon... maybe...

NEWS Nokia has reported sales in China of £2.1bn, which accounts for more than 10 per cent of its total revenue last year. China contributed 60 million new mobile phone users to the world economy last year, taking the total number of subscribers in the country up to 145 million. Exact figures for the numbers of handsets Nokia has sold in the country are unknown, but the Finnish giant predicts further growth this year of between 10 and 15 per cent.
