By Joey Gardiner, 8 February 2002 17:05

NEWS The modern day curse of the mobile phone mast has struck an unlikely victim - homing pigeons. County Durham pigeon fancier Frank Armstrong said twice as many pigeons had failed to return home since three mobile phone masts had been installed in his vicinity. Armstrong told the Press Association that he had no scientific explanation for the phenomenon, but wanted the matter investigated. He has now registered his complaint and is trying to prevent the construction of another mast.
