NEWS Valentine's Day saw a record number of text messages sent in the UK. Figures released by the Mobile Data Association reveal that 57.5 million messages were sent within the UK on 14 February. The figures represent more than double the number sent on the same day last year and suggest the UK is seeing many people opting for text messages instead of the traditional cards.
