NEWS Norwegian telco Telenor will build the world's largest wireless LAN at its spectacular new headquarters in Fornebu, Norway, using kit from Cisco. The system will use Cisco's Architecture for Voice, Video, and Data to run a network for data, internet and voice-over-IP telephony services. Telenor's 137,000sq m new campus will accommodate 7,700 company employees who are moving out of 40 separate offices in the Oslo area. Using a combined network for voice and data networks should help the company save "several million dollars" of operating costs, Jon Fredrik Baksaas, Telenor's deputy chief executive said in a statement.
