Compaq making the most money though...

NEWS Palm has topped the EMEA handheld shipments table for the first quarter of 2002, but Compaq's iPaq is leading the way in terms of financial success according to the latest research figures. Total mobile device shipments in EMEA for the first quarter were down by 30 per cent on the same period last year. However, Palm is still at the top of the list with 34 per cent of the market share. Compaq is in second place with its shipment share up to 21 per cent from 11 per cent in the first quarter of 2001, marking growth of 36 per cent. Compaq is holding first place on the value of its shipments which adds up to £57m ahead of Palm's £48m. Nokia came third on the shipments list with a nine per cent market share and Casio came fourth with seven per cent.
