Public turns it back on 3G

Just as well it's delayed, then...

NEWS Mobile operators desperate for a rapid return on their investments in 3G will be disappointed to learn that nearly half of mobile phone users are uninterested in the next generation of services. A report from UK consultancy Detica surveyed almost 2,500 users but discovered 40 per cent were uninterested in the internet and multimedia services that will eventually be available through mobile phone operators. It found that paying bills and checking account balances were the most eagerly awaited services by users.
