Which country has more mobile phones than people?

Clue: It's not Luxembourg...

NEWS Taiwan has become the first country to boast more mobile phones than citizens. The curious accolade was earned when the number people to mobile phones hit 100.7 per cent. At the last showing Taiwan was second only to Luxembourg which had a 96 per cent level of saturation but now it has tipped the scales as the first nation past 100 per cent. Despite this improbable figure suggesting total saturation in the market the figures do not mean everybody in Taiwan has a mobile phone, but that many citizens have more than one. It is common practice in Taiwan for people to carry several phones for different purposes - for example one mobile for business calls, one for calling friends and one for calling family. In four years the number of mobile phone users in Taiwan has jumped from two million to 22.6 million, according to a report on Ananova.
