NEWS The Competition Commission has backed Oftel's attempts to cap the cost of making mobile phone calls to the other networks. Last year Oftel sought to impose a four year restriction on costs. Yesterday the Commission went some way to endorsing this by stating the cost of making calls to other networks is "well above the efficient network costs [and] not subject to effective competitive restraint".
