NEWS Intel will attempt to boost consumer demand for its chips with the release of new components designed for a portable personal video player. Through its Emerging Platforms Lab, the chip giant will unveil hardware and software to help manufacturers develop the mobile device, according to US reports. A digital device, about the size of a paperback novel, will enable users to download content from a PC either via a USB connection or wireless technology. However, consumers will not be able to swap the audio and video content between devices.
