Mobile chief promises colourful Christmas

Sack full of handsets...

NEWS Sales of mobile phones in the run up to Christmas will be five to 10 per cent higher than a year ago, the boss of the Carphone Warehouse predicted yesterday. Charles Dunstone said sales will be driven by consumers wanting to trade in their old phones for ones featuring colour screens. Bluetooth-enabled phones will also be in demand, Dunstone added. According to the company over 50 per cent of current mobile subscription sales are for 'higher tier' handsets which feature colour screens.
