NEWS British men choose manly tones for their mobile phones in public but use 'girlie' ones on their home phones, according to some indispensable research released today. The survey, which was carried out by Amstrad on a sample of 1,000 men, revealed the most popular current ringtones downloaded by men for their mobile phones include Mission Impossible, Eminem's Cleaning Out My Closet, the James Bond theme and Match Of The Day. But the top ringtone choices for their em@ilerplus home phone - an Amstrad product capable of playing ringtones - include the Friends theme, Blondie/Atomic Kitten's The Tide Is High, Nelly & Kelly's Dilemma and Will & Gareth's Long and Winding Road. Simon Sugar, commercial director, Amstrad, said: "The survey findings were a real eye-opener."
