Vodafone Remote Access gets European roll out

NEWS Vodafone has launched a service that allows companies to connect to their corporate networks to access email and other applications. The counterpart to the consumer-oriented Vodafone live! service that is currently being strongly promoted, Vodafone Remote Access is today available to users in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. It builds on previous remote access services that use GPRS always-on data connectivity. Like Vodafone live!, Remote Access aims to simplify non-voice connectivity, for example providing a preconfigured PC card for laptops. The mobile giant has teamed up with Cisco for security and claims the product takes IT managers just fives hours to integrate on the server side.
