Handheld war games during parliamentary debate on Afghan action...

NEWS A Norwegian MP has been disgraced on national television after he was caught on camera playing computer games on his PDA during a parliamentary debate on military action in Afghanistan. To make his actions even more inappropriate he was playing a version of the war game Matalion. Cameras covering the debate closed in on Trond Helleland when it became obvious that he wasn't following the debate. He later claimed that he had got out his PDA to check his calendar but got distracted by the game. The cameras filmed him playing the game for around seven minutes according to a report on Ananova, and the footage was later screened on national news programmes. Helleland's indiscretion mirrors even more inappropriate behaviour from a group of Spanish MPs who were recently shamed for looking at porn on their laptops during a debate about domestic violence.
