Football voicemail messager Incite to take AIM

"Hello, you don't know it yet but by January you'll be cursing the day your team signed me at £15,000 per week…"

NEWS Voicemail messages from star Premiership football players sent to fans' mobile phones is the key service offered by a mobile media company set to buck the current economic downturn by floating on the stock market next month. Premiership clubs that have already signed up to the service include Tottenham Hotspur, whose new summer signing Bobby Zamora sent fans a welcome message on his arrival, and cash-strapped Leeds United - who would probably have more use for players leaving goodbye messages. Newly relegated West Ham United fans can also sign up for the message service. Incite Holdings will be valued at £7.3m when it floats on the Alternative Investment Market on 9 September and the company is hoping to raise £2m. Although it currently has only 5,000 subscribers to its (((on!))) football service it hopes to sign up further clubs and is aiming for 1.6 million subscribers by 2006.
