BT's Fusion service, which gives users landline and mobile access in one handset, has added a second handset to its roster.
The converged device comes from Motorola, as did the first. The US mobile company is now selling a specially adapted version of the popular Razr, the V3b, alongside the Motorola V560 which has been available since the service launched in June last year.
A BT spokesman told silicon.com the list of handset suppliers is likely to grow next year when the telco brings out phones that connect to a customer's landline over wi-fi, rather than via Bluetooth as is currently the case.
Fixed-mobile convergence has attracted a lot of attention from telcos seeking to stem the haemorrhage of voice minutes to mobile companies.
A recent report by research company Analysys predicts there will be 20 million individual residential subscribers to FMC services by 2010, with France, Germany and the UK likely to be strong adopters of the technology.
