Capgemini is offering to help plug IT departments' skills gaps when it comes to managing mobile deployments.
The newly launched Capgemini Mobile Support service is designed to help companies rolling out handhelds that run on a Windows operating systems.
The new service will help the non-mobile savvy - whether end users or those in the IT department supporting them - configure a smart phone out of the box, which the IT services company claims can help cut support costs by dodging helpdesk calls from those baffled at the prospect of configuring push email and the like on these devices.
Capgemini has also created a toolkit with Microsoft to help IT managers control over-the-air provisioning of patches and other updates as well as giving them control over access policies.
