Still using your BlackBerry just to send emails - that old chestnut? How about watching traffic instead?

T-Mobile has teamed up with mxData to sell TrafficTV, an app which lets road warriors check up on jams and other traffic worries with their BlackBerry.

The TrafficTV Java applet offers a choice of CCTV pictures from 500 cameras, and monitors 8,000 miles of the UK's roads with information from Trafficmaster. As well as CCTV footage, TrafficTV also has maps to highlight no-go areas for drivers, with colour coding to show just how severe the delays are.

Those who want to watch cars moving slowly can enjoy the privilege for 10p per day and up, although keen traffic gazers will also need to factor in data costs.
