How does TGV train onboard service perform?

By Natasha Lomas, 28 March 2008 12:14

TGV passengers on the wi-fi-equipped trains can use the onboard internet service for free at present - both in First class (pictured) and Second class coaches.

Nice to see that the French are catching up with train based wifi links - they have been available on GNER, now National express for years.

The pain au chocolat needs to be more consistent though....

I can't help thinking that the device in picture 4 might be a hinderance to the airflow and 320kmph might not be the speeds a wifi capable train can actually achieve!
