Nokia may be focusing on growing its business by shipping large volumes of lower-end phones to the developing world but the Finnish mobile maker has added a new line in luxury to its 8800 Arte series of fashion phones, announcing 'Carbon Arte' - a mobile made of carbon fibre, titanium, polished glass and stainless steel.
The Mighty Finn describes carbon fibre as "an ultra-light and strong material that expresses a woven pattern that is both high-tech and sensuous". It is also eye-wateringly expensive: the mobile will have an estimated retail price of €1,100 exclusive of subsidies and taxes.
