NEWS

Heathrow's Terminal 5 has gone live with a wi-fi hotspot for its passengers.

The service is aimed particularly at business travelers who can access the network using laptops, PDAs and mobiles, with the T5 network promising speeds of up to 8Mbps.

The hotspot will be supplied by T-Mobile and is largest indoor network in the UK, covering an area the size of 50 football pitches.

Passengers can use the service at a cost of £5 per hour or £10 for 24 hours.

Alternatively T-Mobile customers signed up to the operator's monthly broadband packages can also use the service as part of their subscription.
