Meet 'handy Andy' the productivity tool...

Voice Recorder

Keep an aural record of meetings or record voice memos with the Voice Recorder app which turns your G1 into a - you guessed it - recording device. Sound quality is low but it should still suffice for meetings, memos etc. There is also an option to turn on 'background recording' so you can perform other tasks while it's recording.

ShopSavvy does the same as Compare Everywhere, but works in the UK, on UK products and in good ol' UK Pounds.

Also, I found The Weather Channel to be very US-centric, too - AccuWeather does a far better job for us Brits.

"It'll even transcribe into Cyrillic so Greeks and Russians rejoice."

Can anybody clarify that? Cyrillic is not a language, it's more of an alphabet. It sort of like saying that the app will translate in Latin symbols - it doesn't make much sense. Another thing that doesn't make sense is the "Greeks" part - Greek (the language) doesn't use a Cyrillic alphabet, why would Greeks rejoice having Cyrillic, is beyond me.
