"Its clicking touchscreen should be helpful for those who find normal touchscreen phones too fiddly"

What is it:
RIM's second touchscreen smartphone

Typical price:
£430

We like:
SurePress touchscreen is good for slow, accurate tapping; speedy wi-fi and 3G connectivity; attractive screen; push email sends your messages to you in real-time; good apps available; 3.5mm headphone jack

We don't like:
On-screen keyboard isn't as well-designed as the physical BlackBerry keyboard; user interface is dull; Web browser is comparatively poor; apps can be expensive; heavy

The judgement:
The BlackBerry Storm 2 is an improvement on RIM's last attempt at a touchscreen smartphone. Its clicking touchscreen should also be helpful for those who find normal touchscreen phones too fiddly. But, without a keyboard, its email prowess is slightly compromised, and other touchscreen phones offer slicker user interfaces that are more fun to use
