Tesco Mobile has announced today it will stock Apple's iPhone 3G and 3GS.
Apple ended its two-year UK exclusive deal with O2 this month by launching the iPhone on the Orange network. Vodafone also announced an agreement with Apple in September, and will start offering the iPhone next year.
Tesco hopes to have the iPhone in stores by Christmas, and it will be available on a contract or pay-as-you-go plan, according to a Tesco Mobile spokeswoman.

All very well, but when are Apple going to do what everyone is waiting for and provide a factory 'unlocked' version for the UK?? (not jailbreak!!)
You can already buy these 'factory unlocked' iPhones in Italy and Hong Kong, and they work perfectly with any SIM anywhere in the world and will of course continue to work with software/firmware updates.
I wish UK legislation was as consumer friendly as these countries and made it a requirement that Apple provide an unlocked iPhone without contract....
