In brief: Fujitsu plans supermarket tie-up

By Anna Parker, 26 June 1998 09:26

NEWS Fujitsu is planning to sell PCs in UK high-street supermarkets by Christmas. The company is currently in negotiations with various supermarket chains, and believes other PC manufacturers are also following this path. Fujitsu claimed the UK market is overpriced by 30 to 50 per cent, and said it is aiming to bring prices into line with the rest of Europe. The company said the pricing of consumer ranges for high-street sale will have no effect on the corporate market.
