NEWS Advanced Network Services (ANS) and CompuServe Network Services (CNS) will announce their combined name tomorrow at Networks 98. WorldCom Advanced Networks, as it will be called, was formed when the companies were purchased by WorldCom in January.
According to European marketing director, Cormac Whelan: "Buying up a network service is the first step for a telco wanting to enter the Web arena. The next steps are setting up an Internet Service Provider and then offering branded content to subscribers."
