NEWS The BBC is to start beta testing Excalibur's knowledge retrieval solution, Excalibur Screening Room, on its video archives. If the tests are a success, the BBC could use Excalibur technology to replace manual dubbing and the physical transfer of videotapes. As a member of Excalibur's Video Advisory Council, the BBC will advise the company on its future strategy, along with existing members PBS, Sony Marketing and Italy's RAI.
