NEWS Netscape is beating rivals, including Microsoft, in the battle to dominate the Web server market, according to the latest Dataquest research. The report suggests Netscape's market share rose to more than 50 per cent in 1997, well ahead of Microsoft's Internet Information Server. It also revealed that the market grew at the rate of 88 per cent last year. Dataquest claimed competition will continue to rise as leading vendors begin to focus on the area.
