In brief: NCR posts healthy Q2 results

NEWS NCR Corporation's pre-tax income has leapt from $2m (£1.2m) in 1997 to $92m (£56m) for the second quarter ended June 30 1998. The company also posted $23m (£14m) in income for the same quarter.
