NEWS Broadcast.com joined the growing ranks of Internet start-up successes yesterday, as its shares leapt from $18 to $62.75 in the first day of its Initial Public Offering. Other Internet companies which are still failing to see a profit, including Amazon.com, have also seen share prices rise continuously over the last few months.
