NEWS Shifts in the bar code technology market will lead to lower prices and better products, according to a recent report published by Frost & Sullivan. The research predicts that manufacturers and retailers which buy bar code technology for sales, distribution and stock control operations can look forward to better value in the future. Frost & Sullivan claims bar code technologies such as scanners and rugged pen tablet devices are being combined with more complex technologies including point-of-sale and security systems to bring wider benefits to users. The report is entitled 'Strategies and Issues Within the Bar Code Equipment Market'.
