Programmers find online love

NEWS Lonely scientists and technicians have been given fresh hope of romance with the launch of an online dating service designed especially for them. Called Science Connection, the site offers the chance of love for customers ranging from IT support staff to physics teachers. The site offers a selection of sample adverts. A semiconductor engineer says: "While part of me dwells in IC technology, the other part longs for a trip to the wilderness." Another claims to be: "Just your average farm boy with a PhD in physics". Even more tempting is a systems analyst who "doesn't quit at the first sign of adversity". From the female selection, a slightly indecisive technical specialist at a biotech company likes "going out or staying in". Even more worrying is the woman who "would like to marry someone who likes to watch birds, manage money and work hard".
