NEWS The EC is expected this week to give its approval to the creation of British Interactive Broadcasting (BIB) - the joint venture backed by BSkyB, BT, Midland Bank and Matsushita. The group of companies wants to sell cut-price digital TV decoders to home users. Once clearance has been given, shipments to retailers will begin at an expected price of £199 per decoder.
